Adidas

Adi Dassler, on August 18th, 1949, registered adidas in the Handelsregister (commercial register) near Herzogenaurach (in Fürth). The name of the company back then was Adolf Dassler adidas Sportschuhfabrik. The three Stripes, first used in 1949, started their victory lap around the world early on to become the key identifier and most famous symbol of adidas.

August 18th, 2009

They are looking back on the greatest moments athletes celebrated in three Stripes, as they celebrate their 60th anniversary. But, they are looking forward at the same time. In adidas employees around the world today, the spirit and passion of their founder still lives on. And, so that they can achieve their dreams, all of them strive to create the perfect equipment for every athlete. Because to them nothing is impossible.

Amazon.com

In July 1995, CEO and founder Jeff Bezos opened the virtual doors of Amazon.com's online store. In 1994, the company was incorporated in the state of Washington and in 1996, reincorporated in Delaware.

Located in Seattle, Washington are the company's principal corporate offices. Under the symbol AMZN, Amazon.com completed its initial public offering in May 1997, and its common stock is listed on the Nasdaq Global Select Market.

To build a place where people can come to discover and find anything they might want to buy online; their vision is to be earth's most customer centric company.
